Sanitizers and face mask play a vital role in protecting ourselves from the current coronavirus pandemic.
Even though sanitizers do play a vital role in killing germs, one must be cautious when using it. Frequent use of sanitizers may lead to certain side effects.
The alcohol concentration present in sanitizers is above 60%,as a result, it effectively kills the germs present, but in some sanitizers instead of alcohol a chemical agent called Triclosan is added.
The chemical agent Triclosan is highly used in pesticides therefore, it's likely to be highly poisonous. Also, these types of sanitizers tend to get absorbed into the human body affecting the functioning of the thyroid glands. In addition, this will also affect the body muscles and the Liver.
Washing hands using sanitizers before a meal strictly needs to be avoided, as the chemical agent present in the sanitizer may get absorbed into the body thus affecting the digestive system and the immune system in children.
Some have the habit of washing their face masks using sanitizers. This habit can be extremely dangerous as it may lead to breathing problems when being used again.
Therefore sanitizers should only be used under unavoidable circumstances.
